Today, I was wondering if Henry Ford was much of a mechanic. I mean, once he invented the car and began mass producing it, there must have been an instant demand for people to maintain the vehicles and make repairs. Not to mention body shops! Without road signs and traffic rules, there must have been accidents all the time.
I then began to wonder what it must have been like for Mark Zuckerberg the moment he realized that Facebook would create and support millions of jobs. Not only were there developers working on the Facebook applications, but there was an immediate need for people to train others on how to use the site, prepare content, schedule posts (another whole industry!), and analyze data.
Times change, but some things remain the same: Innovation, hard work, and good old supply and demand. These thoughts keep me going. They help me wake up every morning and say “Hand me my wrench!”
