How To Increase Sales And Grow Your Business In 2013 In 3 Easy Steps
This year is going to be big. You know it and I know it. So let’s focus on a few things we can both do to put some more money in the bank.
First, you are the leader of the rest of your team, even if you are the only team member. Not only does your skill set need to be at the top of the game but you need to surround yourself with many other talented people. So step one is to book time on self-development and time off to rest. If you fail to do this, your skill set, your physical body, and your mind will always be playing catch up and you will get burnt out. Make it a priority and honor your commitment to yourself.
Step two is to grow your top line, your sales. It is easier than you think. Look at your growth for the last few years and decide in advance what your growth is going to be this year. Be a little risky. Don’t just put down what is going to happen anyway. Then get out into the real world and meet people who will help you find that new business. Join a few networking groups and attend some events. I promise you, you will not regret this. Business owners are eager to help each other. Be willing to meet with people one on one to get to know them better and it will be easier for them to refer business to you. You will notice an increase in sales because you have trained others to find prospects for you.
Finally, manage your bottom line by examining each expense line in your books. Do you eat out a lot like most of us? Are you paying for subscriptions for things you don’t use? Eliminate them! That’s money in your pocket. Ask your Bookkeeper or CPA to run a report for you if you don’t know how. You will be surprised what you are spending your money on.
Have a terrific year!
